Chapter I

Craft & story

Leaves are shade-grown for thirty days, picked by hand and milled on granite stones at thirty grams an hour. Every tin opens to powder that has never met the heat of a machine.

Grown above two thousand metres in volcanic soil and spring-fed mist. Six teas, one estate.

Origin

From Uji to your cup

We buy directly from heritage gardens in Uji, Shizuoka and Kagoshima, and from the high valleys of Assam and Fuding. Cool nights and long mornings of mist give a deep umami and a sweetness no blend can imitate. Nothing is added — no sugar, no flavouring, no colour. Only leaf, ground very slowly.
